Key Takeaways

  • On Freecash, a chargeback is a penalty for completing offers fraudulently.

  • The reward you were sent for the offer will be deducted from your account balance.

  • If your account's chargeback rate ever exceeds 10%, completed offers will be held until the rate falls below 10%.

While a 'chargeback' usually refers to a refund that a debit or credit card holder can request from their bank, on Freecash a 'chargeback' is effectively a penalty for completing offers fraudulently.

If you complete one of our offers, or a partner offer, and you are suspected of fraud, the reward that was sent to you will be deducted from your account balance. These chargebacks can be issued up to 90 days after an offer has been credited

Here are some example of behavior that can be deemed to be fraudulent, and will therefore result in a chargeback:

  • Attempting to do an offer multiple times on one account.
  • Using multiple accounts to complete offers or surveys multiple times.
  • Completing offers via VPN, proxy or VPS.
  • Providing incorrect information about the account holder.

But don't panic. You will not be banned for receiving a chargeback. However, if your overall rate of completed offers that result in chargeback exceeds 10%, we will not be able to issue rewards

until the rate falls back to below 10%.

How can you see your chargebacks on Freecash?

Here is how to see your chargebacks on Freecash. Please note, if you do not have chargebacks, you will not see a 'Chargebacks' section in your profile

On desktop

  1. 1 Go to your profile page on Freecash.
  2. 2 Select the 'Chargeback' tab.

On mobile

  1. 1 Go to your profile page on Freecash.
  2. 2 Scroll down and select the 'Chargeback' option.

To avoid chargebacks, do not create multiple accounts, do not use VPNs, and be honest in your profile.
