Widely touted as one of the greatest JRPGs of all time, Persona 4 Golden is both a fantastic entry point into the JRPG genre and a great outing for existing fans.

The best bit is, you get it for free with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so if you already subscribe, you can get playing right now!

It’s my chance to give the game another go, too. I fell in love with the super stylish art and mystery of travelling into an alternative world a few years ago, but life got in the way of me finishing the game. Maybe now’s the time!

Run a plant shop or join a cult in Strange Horticulture

Epic Games always has something unique on offer for free, and this week is no different. Strange Horticulture doesn’t cast you as the heroic warrior in a fantasy world. No, you’re running a local plant shop with your cat, exploring to research new flora from the areas beyond your doorstep.

It’s such a cool concept, and you can use your plants to influence the world of the game for good or ill when you help out your customers.

I love this idea, and will absolutely be adding it to my library, as it’s free to keep for this week only.

Save the frogs in Kamaeru

Kamaeru seems like such a joy. If Strange Horticulture is still too dark and stormy for your liking, this game, free on the Epic Games Store, is the perfect antidote.

You take control of a home for frogs, collecting different types to restore the area’s biodiversity and photographing them looking as adorable as possible. There are over 500 frogs, so you’ll need to make your sanctuary as nice as possible for those slimy lads. Dig them the ponds they need, buy the furniture they like, and even breed them to get different colours and patterns!

Age of Empires is FREE TO KEEP

We all know Age of Empires. A classic franchise, perfect for those of us looking to accidentally pass way more hours than expected with some cheeky real-time strategy. Well, on Steam, Age of Empires is free if you use your Freecash bonus!
