How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Freecash

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Freecash account.

When it's turned on, logging in requires both your password and a 6-digit code sent to your email, making it much harder for anyone else to access your account and your earnings.

Turn on 2FA from your profile

Follow these steps on either mobile or desktop to enable two-factor authentication:

  1. Go to your Freecash Profile page
  2. Press the Settings button in the top-right corner
  3. Open the new Security section
  4. Toggle Two-Factor Authentication on

That's it, 2FA is now active. The next time you sign in from a new session, you'll be asked to confirm a code sent to your email. You can turn 2FA off again at any time from the same Security section.

What happens when you log in

Once 2FA is enabled, logging in works like this:

  1. Enter your email and password as usual.
  2. We send a 6-digit verification code to your email address.
  3. Enter the code to finish signing in. The code is valid for 30 minutes.

If your code hasn't arrived, you can request a new one using the Resend option, which becomes available 60 seconds after the previous code is sent.

For your security, entering an incorrect code 5 times will temporarily lock the verification attempt. Simply request a new code and try again.

Why am I asked for a code if I never turned 2FA on?

To protect against account takeovers, Freecash may request a verification code for certain higher-risk logins, even if you haven't enabled 2FA yourself. For example, when we detect a new device, a new IP address, or a login after a long period of inactivity. This is a normal security check. Just enter the 6-digit code we emailed you to continue.

I'm not receiving my 2FA code

If your verification email hasn't arrived, try the following:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder.
  2. Make sure you're checking the email address linked to your Freecash account.
  3. Wait the 60-second cooldown, then press Resend to request a new code.
  4. Remember each code expires after 30 minutes — if too much time has passed, request a fresh one.

If you still can't receive your code or you've lost access to your email, please contact the Freecash Support Team over live chat or via email ([email protected]) so we can help you regain access to your account.

Note: We're rolling out 2FA gradually, so the Security section may not yet be available on every account. If you don't see the option, it will be coming to you soon.
