How long do えらべるPay withdrawals take?

Most are approved in a few minutes, but in some instances it may take up to 30 minutes. If it takes longer, contact support .

Does えらべるPay expire?

Yes. Your えらべるPay points have a 3-month exchange deadline , counted from the day the gift is issued and appears on the giftee page. After that date the page shows as expired, and the points can no longer be exchanged.

How to Cash Out with えらべるPay (Selectable Pay) on Freecash

Follow the steps below to withdraw your Freecash balance with えらべるPay (Selectable Pay), a digital gift from giftee that you exchange for the payment service or gift code of your choice. If you're not sure yet what you want to redeem it for, that's fine — you can withdraw first and choose later.

Head to the Cashout page
Select えらべるPay and choose the amount
Enter your email address and tick the confirmation box
Press the green 'Withdraw' button
Open the email from Freecash and tap the link
Choose the brand you want on the giftee page
Use your gift

If this is your first withdrawal on Freecash you will need to go through the verification process. You will be prompted to do this when you press the 'Withdraw' button.

えらべるPay is available to users in Japan only.

1. Head to the Cashout page

You can find the Cashout page at any time by selecting your current account funds, shown in the top-right corner on desktop and at the top of the page on mobile.

2. Select えらべるPay and choose the amount

Select えらべるPay from the withdrawal options on the Cashout page, then choose the amount you would like to withdraw. Available amounts: [NEEDS CONFIRMATION — final denomination list].

Two fees apply, in this order:

A えらべるPay issuing fee set by giftee
A flat ¥175 Freecash withdrawal fee (per withdrawal)

Your payout is the amount you select minus both fees. Always check the final total (shown as "¥X worth of えらべるPay points") on the confirmation screen before you submit.

3. Enter your email address and tick the confirmation box

Enter the email address where you want to receive your gift link. This does not need to match the email you used to sign up to Freecash, and you do not need a giftee account — the link is sent straight to the address you enter.

Use a non-carrier email address. Japanese mobile carrier domains (docomo.ne.jp, au.com, softbank.ne.jp, ezweb.ne.jp, and similar) often block automated email. We recommend a Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, or iCloud address so your gift link arrives.

Tick the confirmation box to confirm you understand the order is non-refundable.

4. Press the green 'Withdraw' button

Press the green 'Withdraw' button to submit your request.

If you have not verified your account, you will be redirected to complete that process at this stage. You will need a government-issued ID and a working camera.

Your withdrawal will show as Pending in your Withdrawals tab while it goes through review.

5. Open the email from Freecash and tap the link

Once your withdrawal is approved, you will receive an email containing your えらべるPay link (the address starts with g4b.giftee.biz). Tap the link to open your gift.

If you cannot find the email, check your spam folder first. If it is not there, contact support with your withdrawal ID from the Withdrawals tab and we can look your gift up and re-send it.

6. Choose the brand you want on the giftee page

The link opens giftee's えらべるPay page, showing the points you have been given. From there:

Browse the lineup and select the brand you want
Check the points required and confirm the exchange
Your gift appears under 'Use gift', ready to use

Brands available in the えらべるPay lineup include PayPay points, Amazon gift codes, au PAY, QUO Card Pay, nanaco gift, and Seven Bank ATM cash pickup. Rakuten Points are not available.

The exchange rate is not the same for every brand. The number of points a gift of equal value costs varies by brand — always check the required points on the giftee screen before you confirm. Exchanges cannot be undone.

7. Use your gift

Open your exchanged gift from the giftee page and use it in the relevant app or store. PayPay points, for example, are added to your PayPay balance and cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred.
