Shields are earned by landing on tiles with a blue shield icon, with a maximum of five at a time. Landing on a shield tile at max capacity gives Dice Rolls instead. Earning Shields is straightforward; earning Shield Skins is more involved. Skins are purely cosmetic and don't affect how Shields work.
