What are Paid Online Medical Surveys?

Getting paid for medical surveys online is a way for medical institutions and product scientists to investigate what healthcare professionals use daily and how they could further improve their overall effectiveness. 

Paid online medical surveys not only ask you how many hours you work a day, but they also ask you what kinds of equipment you use, what medications you prescribe for a particular diagnosis, or if you would recommend specific products (new or old). 

According to The National Library of Medicine, particularly nursing research is one of the most in demand types of research, thus making a majority of surveys focused on contributing towards this research type. L&E Research

L&E Research has been praised for posting about available surveys, typically in the r/expertsnetwork subreddit. To learn more about them, they are mostly known for medical focus groups and healthcare market research. They primarily offer surveys for nurses, but physicians and other professionals are welcome. 

To qualify for their surveys, you will need to fill out your professional information and upload related credentials. You may need to qualify via screeners before receiving any major surveys. They also pay a bit less for general surveys, ranging from $10-$50 each. 

The trick here is to apply for focus groups, which usually pay a minimum of $150 per completion. 

E-Rewards Medical

One that I found really interesting and surprisingly very popular and heavily discussed. E-Rewards Medical has been known to give even $5 if you time out from a survey or if you didn't qualify. So you do not need to worry about wasting time for nothing. 

Keep in mind, though, that E-Rewards is only accessible via referral or invitation. However, you can find some referrals in this thread on Reddit. You can alternatively request an invite and fill out credentials. 

Each survey pays you from $15 to $75, depending on its complexity, and takes around 10 minutes to complete overall. They are rather easy to complet,e which is pretty nice, but that also means you will run into fewer opportunities if you're not specialized. Overall, it's a great option if you are a busy nurse who wants to spend a quick 10 minutes for some extra cash.

Freecash

Sign up for Freecash and earn $500 or more a month by completing online medical-related surveys that take around 10 minutes to complete. While Freecash isn’t solely focused on medical surveys, you have a much larger pool of rewards to choose from, with an easy-to-use app that you can use while finding more surveys on the go. 

Freecash does not require credentials or professional certifications. Each medical-based survey will cover either already-made products or work-related day-to-day experiences. The effort is much easier than other options, and I'm bold to say it's the best, fastest option.

While you earn only from $0.50 to $5 per survey, you can complete multiple daily, along with other side quests that give you bonuses as you level up your profile. There are many great ways to get paid for answering questions, but Freecash is always the one everyone comes back to. 

MedPanel

Similar to other medical survey platforms, a majority of surveys on MedPanel are available for nurses, physicians and medical technicians. While the sign-up is rather quick, you will need to pass a qualification test to ensure you are truly certified. 

Each survey can take 10 to 30 minutes, so you may want to make sure you have some time set aside for MedPanel. I thought it was cool, though, because a few nurses have claimed to receive up to $300 if they complete the more difficult ones. 

The effort to complete these surveys is moderately high, and sometimes they do include research interviews that can take even up to 40 minutes, depending on their difficulty. 

Sermo

A hugely popular platform among healthcare professionals, Sermo is like the medical version of Freecash, but with fewer offers and gamification. You will also be required to provide an NPI or license and create a professional profile. 

However, each survey takes about 3-15 minutes to complete, ranging from $5 to $10. You do not need to put much effort into completing the surveys. However, you will run out of offers really fast, and it can get rather frustrating. 

Other Ways Nurses and Health Professionals Can Get Paid Extra

In addition to answering quick three-minute surveys, you can earn extra money by completing more tedious tasks that are in high demand. There are many ways to make money as a nurse. However, these are the fastest and more aligned with survey related tasks. 

Test Medical Equipment

Medical equipment is always in need of volunteers to run test trials. You can earn an extra $500 a month or so by testing one of these guys out (if your practice allows it). 

A few sites you could reach out to that typically offer equipment testing to healthcare professionals are GLC or even L&E Research, which has paid others up to $800 for testing a product out for a month or so. 

Test Medical Apps 

Testing medical apps on UserTesting or Freecash is heavily popular. While they are not directly associated with surveys, you can try out new applications that could assist your daily work life as a healthcare professional. Alternatively, you could give feedback if the app is not useful, or should be improved before the official release.
