Freecash have the lowest minimum payout for surveys with $0.10 withdrawals to Stake.
InboxDollars have the highest minimum payout at $15 for a first withdrawal.
I have been doing paid surveys for about five years now. As far as casual online work goes, you can earn more per hour with gaming and product testing on task sites, but surveys are certainly easier.
If you are new to paid surveys, I highly recommend using a platform with low minimum payouts, as you may lose motivation and want to cash out early. For consistent survey respondents, minimum payouts are naturally less relevant.
On Freecash you can withdraw as little as $0.10, which you can earn from a single survey. If you are not interested in withdrawing to Stake, you can cash out via PayPal, bank transfer or crypto from $5.
Besides a low minimum payout, Freecash can also boast an easy-to-use platform and the highest Trustpilot score. This is significant for any kind of online work, which might see you needing to contact the support team.
Swagbucks, like Freecash, offer a great combination of low minimum payouts and a decent Trustpilot score. The only annoying thing for me personally is that they have a very high minimum threshold for PayPal $25, which is my preferred withdrawal method.
One great benefit of Swagbucks is that they have a very wide-range of other non-survey tasks, which allows you to combine earnings and reach the minimum threshold more quickly.
MyPoints have a very high threshold for all non-gift card withdrawals, at $25. This is why, despite their high Trustpilot score, I would probably not use this site unless you are happy with gift cards.
If you are happy with gift cards, I recommend joining the MyPoints Reddit to make use of their daily "Point Perk" codes, which provide a good way to slightly increase your earnings for a minute's work.
Despite Branded Surveys offering a competitive minimum payout and having a strong Trustpilot score, the platform has unfortunately become much worse for me over the last three years.
This was once probably the best survey site, but now there are very few opportunities to find high-paying surveys, and they are normally filled within minutes. I still rate them about average because their support team have always been fantastic for me.
Survey Junkie is a decent enough site, but to get the most out of this platform you need to share your browsing history with them. This is because they have an "earn while you surf" feature, which basically means they will pay you a very small amount for your data, and you need to activate this feature to access their higher-paying surveys.
If you do not want to share your browsing data with them, I do not recommend using Survey Junkie.
Ipsos iSay are an older, more traditional market research company, who offer in-person opportunities as well as online surveys. They are trustworthy and reliable, but you cannot grind surveys on this site like you can with others.
If you only want to do a survey or two or day Ipsos iSay are a good option, but for a genuine work from home opportunity, use another platform.
PrizeRebel have been around since 2007, which is actually quite a while in the survey world, but they have had a huge falloff in the last few years. Check out some of their disappointing reviews on Trustpilot.
For offering $5 payouts, I still have to rank PrizeRebel around the midpack, but given how many issues their users have been experiencing recently, I recommend using another site first.
Life Points have a fantastic app, and I have experienced zero technical issues with them. They also offer a low minimum payout for gift cards and have a decent Trustpilot score. So why so low? Because I found it harder to qualify for their best offers than on almost any other site.
It might just be me and my Life Points account, perhaps I don't fit the target demographic of their market research partners? But on other survey sites, I never really have much of a problem qualifying for the best opportunities.
Pinecone Research was once an absolute favorite of mine, with genuinely interesting surveys and fast payouts. And they do still offer a low minimum payout, but they have been overtaken by sites with far better UIs and more opportunities. Their Trustpilot score has also fallen off a cliff, with many users reporting they were disqualified after spending 5+ minutes on a survey.
Another reason I rank Pinecone Research poorly is that they have adopted an incredibly annoying method to re-engage members. They will send you emails notifying you about great surveys, then you get to the page, and you fail to qualify. I am unsure why they cannot simply send emails to users who they know will qualify.
InboxDollars are great in so many ways, with a lot of non-survey opportunities, a good Trustpilot score, and fast payouts, but a very high minimum payout. $15 is simply too high of a minimum payout threshold when there are alternative platforms out there.
As I said in the introduction, if you are a consistent earner, you should not worry so much about the minimum payment threshold. If you focus on other criteria when choosing your task platform, InboxDollars is a much more attractive option.
Lastly, YouGov, which like InboxDollars is great in so many ways but has a very high minimum payout limit. They have an especially wide range of surveys and a solid UI, but a $15 minimum payout should be avoided by beginners.
When you first start answering surveys, it is very easy to lose motivation. Which is why I always recommend starting with a site that has a low minimum payout, at least that way you are more likely to reach cash out.
