Instant Cashback Gift Cards — Complete Guide

This guide explains everything you need to know about purchasing, finding, redeeming, and troubleshooting gift cards on Freecash.

How Freecash Gift Cards Work

Freecash now allows you to purchase digital gift cards that provide instant cashback, which are separate from the normal gift cards we offer as cashout options. 

Once purchased, these instant cashback gift cards are delivered digitally and can be redeemed directly on the store’s website or app. Currently available in select regions, with more planned soon. 

Where to Buy Freecash Gift Cards

You can buy Freecash gift cards in the Cashback section:

1. Go to Cashback
2. Scroll down to Instant Cashback offers, or select the Instant Cashback tab
3. Choose the gift card you want and complete your purchase

Where to Find Your Purchased Gift Cards

You can also access your gift cards from the cashback area:

• Go to the Cashback page
• Select Instant Cashback
• Click My Gift Cards

 In this section, you’ll be able to view your gift card codes, barcodes (if available), and the status of each card. 

How to Redeem a Freecash Gift Card

Before redeeming your gift card, always review the terms and conditions listed on Freecash and on the store's official website. These terms may include exclusions, regional restrictions, or minimum purchase requirements.

1. Wait for activation (up to 24 hours for some stores)
2. Locate your gift card code from the Cashback section, under Instant Cashback, in My Gift Cards
3. Shop on the retailer’s website or app
4. Proceed to checkout
5. Enter the code in the Gift Card field
6. Apply the gift card and complete your purchase

Do not enter gift card codes in promo, coupon, or discount code fields. Gift cards and promo codes are processed separately.

If the gift card has a bar code, you may also use it in-store. 

Gift Card Cashback 

Instant Cashback on Purchase

You always receive instant cashback when purchasing a gift card on Freecash. This cashback is credited immediately to your Freecash balance.

Using Gift Cards With Other Cashback Offers

Using a gift card at a retailer may not be compatible with additional cashback offers. Some stores exclude purchases paid with gift cards from earning cashback. These rules are set by the retailer, not Freecash.

Gift Card Refund Policy

All gift card purchases on Freecash are final and non-refundable.

Because gift cards are digital products delivered instantly, they cannot be returned, exchanged, or converted back to a Freecash balance.

Functionality Issues

If a gift card does not work due to a legitimate technical or functionality issue, support may be able to assist. In these cases, you should first contact the store to verify the code, then contact Freecash support if the issue cannot be resolved.

How to Check Your Gift Card Balance

Freecash does not track gift card balances. Once a gift card is redeemed, Freecash cannot see how much balance remains or how it has been used.

1. Visit the store's official website
2. Navigate to their gift card or support section
3. Select the balance check option
4. Enter your gift card details

If your balance reaches zero, you can archive the gift card in your Freecash account to keep your wallet organized.

What to Do If Your Gift Card Is Not Working

If your code is not working, try these fixes in the following order: 

1. Confirm you are using the correct gift card field at checkout
2. Double-check the code for typos or extra spaces
3. Wait up to 24 hours after purchase for activation
4. Review the store's gift card terms and exclusions
5. Verify the gift card matches your region
6. Contact the store's customer support

If any steps are unclear, read our complete overview of what to do when your code is not working. You currently cannot add these gift cards to Apple Pay or Google Wallet. 

If the store confirms the code is invalid or cannot resolve the issue, contact Freecash support with your gift card code, purchase details, and screenshots of the error.
