The easiest way to get paid to shop is to deliver using Instacart or DoorDash
The most rewarding way to shop is by becoming a Mystery Shopper for brands like QuikTrip
You can earn up to $25 testing new products to help research on Freecash
Earn by Downloading Delivery Apps ($15-$60)
If you love shopping, but don't want to do it for yourself, there are multiple delivery apps where you can go shopping for others and delivery straight to their door. This is like the non-skilled version of personal shoppers, however with a much easier entry rate.Â
You can easily earn from $15 to $60 an hour, whether you are juggling two apps at once or hitting peak hours perfectly every day. This is a great side gig that pays well over $500 monthly, and its literally all about shopping.Â
Here are some of the most popular delivery apps:
Instacart: A widely accepted app where you get paid by selecting specific order pick ups based on your local area.Â
Shipt: A grocery shipment app and platform that is directly owned by Target.Â
DoorDash: Similar to Uber, but with a better overall experience, DoorDash is a highly popular grocery delivery app where you could shop anywhere and deliver.Â
Use Cashback Apps or Reward Apps ($10-$25)
Some of the best cashback apps to get paid to shop would be Honey, Fetch and Freecash. All of these offer special rewards for going shopping or testing products that you are paid to try. Depending on how many of these apps you run and use daily, you can easily make over $70 a day or $25 an hour.Â
Here is a quick run down of some of the best apps you can earn from while shopping:
Ibotta: Offers rewards from your purchasing by scanning the receipt and get paid.Â
Honey: Honey is a rewards platform that pays coupons and cashback from your daily purchases.
Fetch: Take pictures of your receipts and earn points (more or less depending on where you purchased.
Freecash: Earn double rewards by testing out new products and writing reviews on your favorite items.
Depending on how you would like to earn, I would recommend using two or three of these platforms to triple your rewards. This way, you can easily make over $1,000 a month from literally just shopping or trying out new products.Â
Freecash is my personal favorite, as you can try out new products and give your opinion while also getting paid. Freecash also has survey offerwalls that pay you 50% more than the tradition reward if you complete them.Â

Become a Mystery Shopper ($50-$100/Hour)
Mystery shoppers can be paid easily by stores that need you to leave a review, or critique their way of operating. To apply for these types of jobs, you can usually find them on freelancer platforms like Upwork, or you can go to Indeed where Mystery Shopping is a common offer.Â
Usually mystery shopping can take from an hour to two hours a day, so you need to make sure you have set aaside some time for a job like this. If you do, you can easily make a couple hundred bucks, or atleast up to $50 per hour.Â
Here are a few steps I have taken to find mystery shopper gigs and to succeed at this type of gig:
1
Find mystery shopper gigs, typically within company profiles on platforms like Indeed or LinkedIn
2
Apply with a cover letter expressing your interest in mystery shopping
3
Make sure they offer reimbursment for the food you purchase, and cashout.
This type of job is very dependent on your location, and you will need to search for "nearby mystery shopper jobs" in order to get the best results.Â
Be a Personal Shopper ($50-$70/Hour)
Being a personal shopper requires much more than just applying for random gigs, you will need a legit portfolio for this type of work. Unfortunately, it requires a lot of time from you. But if you love shopping, and you want to make it a career, why not?
To get started on your path to being a successful Personal Shopper, you will need the following:
A portfolio focused on your knowledge of fashion/interior design (niched down)
Network with high end designers or brands through LinkedIn or internships
Follow the latest fashion influencers like Chiara Ferragni or Wisdom Kaye
Keeping up with these three sounds like a lot, however for a few hours of work, it can really pay off in the end. If you can land large clients, they can pay up to $70 an hour or thousands of dollars just for one errand.Â
