We've all been there. No money to spare on fast food, but desperately hungry for KFC. But is it possible to KFC for free?

If you are really struggling, inquire at your local KFC whether they participate in the Harvest program (in partnership with Food Donation Connection). Use loyalty points from KFC Rewards
KFC has a loyalty program called Rewards. Whenever you buy food, you get points, and you can exchange those points for even more food.
You get 10 points per $1 spent and average meals, like 8 chicken nuggets, chips, and a drink, cost 750 points. So you will need to spend around $75 at KFC before you can use the Rewards program for a whole meal.
While these points are not worth much, it is still worth using the app to take advantage of the Rewards program and, at least over time, you will earn some free KFC.
Location-based discounts
Many KFC locations also offer permanent discounts:

Veterans: Some franchises offer up to 25% off the bill for veterans, provided you can provide some kind of military ID.

Seniors: Most KFC locations have some kind of seniors discount for those aged over 55, usually a free small drink or up to 10% off the bill.

Students: While KFC offer student discounts in most other regions (for instance, a flat 15% off for students in the UK), student discounts at KFC are far less common in the US. You should still check your local franchise, if you are in a college town they may offer something.
But as KFC is franchise-based, your local KFC might not offer any of these discounts. Good luck getting free KFC!
