How to Get Free Riot Points

It's harder to get free Riot Points these days, as the devs no longer give out RP codes on social media and Prime Gaming no longer covers LoL. But there are still a decent number of ways to earn RP without spending your own money. 

We can employ many of the same methods used to get free Valorant points, as well additional options for earning gift cards to buy the points, besides Freecash.  

Earn PayPal Gift Cards on Freecash to Buy Riot Points 

The fastest way to get Riot Points without spending your own money involves paid game testing on Freecash, where users earn 28,77 per day on average. 

Freecash is a site where you earn money online by complete simple tasks, like testing mobile games and signing up for new apps. You do need to be 16, but besides that, anyone can start in less than 5 minutes: 

1. Login with Google or Facebook, or create an account.
2. Choose a task you want to complete, perhaps a Gaming Offer, or one of the Featured Surveys. 
3. As you work your way through a task offer, you earn money on your Freecash account. 
4. Go to Cashout once you've earned $20, and choose PayPal.
5. Buy Riot Points in LoL, and enjoy your new skin.

Use Microsoft Rewards to Earn Riot Points 

Microsoft Rewards allow you to earn prizes, like Riot Points, for using Bing. As a Level 1 Microsoft Rewards user, you can earn 5 points per search, up to 50 points per day. 

You can use those points to get RP gift cards. The catch? It takes 2,000 Microsoft Rewards points to buy 100 RP, which would mean 10 searches on Bing for 40 days in a row. 

If we compare that to Freecash, the rate is incredibly low. Whereas on Freecash you could comfortably earn 2,000 RP a day through paid game testing, earning that same 2,000 RP would take you 800 days via Bing searches! 

Rather than ignoring Microsoft Rewards, however, I would still encourage you to sign up for the program, as it can be a way to earn in the background:

1. Go to the Microsoft Rewards page.
2. Select "Start Earning" at the top. 
3. Login to Microsoft with the same account you use on your PC or mobile.  

And you're done, your Bing searches will now earn you Microsoft Rewards points! Once you have 2,000, spend them on free Riot Points. You can also use the program to get other rewards, like Minecraft for free. 

Join Social Media Giveaways from LoL Content Creators 

Although Riot themselves no longer run these kinds of giveaways, generous social media accounts do.

Hundreds of up-and-coming LoL streamers use RP giveaways to grow their social media channels. But the best source for finding these giveaways is X (Twitter). 

In the vast majority of cases, you only need to like and retweet, and then hope you get lucky. 

You should also consider joining social media giveaways on channels that simply offer free money, which can obviously be used on RP.  

Send LoL-themed Art to Riot's Social Media Accounts 

This was far more common in the past, but it's a well-known fact that Riot love to see their community engage with their characters through art. Several times in the past, they have given away bundles of RP to players who submit art inspired by LoL and Valorant. 

There is no guarantee you will get any reward, and it could take a long time to complete, but if nothing else, at least it will have been creatively rewarding. 

Avoid Riot Point Generators & 2nd-Hand Accounts 

While there are legitimate ways to get free Riot Points, the internet is also full of scams that promise "free RP generators". These are always fake and are designed to steal your personal information or account credentials.

Riot Games’ terms of service explicitly prohibit the use of such tools, and using them can result in a permanent ban from your account. The same goes for 2nd-hand accounts; although they are more likely to work, they are also against the ToS and could end up costing you.

Instead of relying on these methods, go with something reliable and legit like completing paid tasks on Freecash.
