Apex Legends has been out for over five years at this point, and there are now over a thousand skins available in the game. The vast majority are trash that have been designed to dilute the loot pool and encourage you to buy more Apex Packs, but every Legend has at least one incredible skin.
Alter | Moonlit Menace (1200 Crafting Metals)
|
Alter is still fairly new in the world of Apex Legends, and as such she doesn't yet have many skins. But Moonlit Menace, which is craftable, is probably the best skin she has received so far. The purple and black combination works well with gold highlights, and in first-person, the hands look especially stylish. |

Ash | Inner Demon (1800 Apex Coins)
|
While Ash might not be the most popular character in Apex Legends, she's easily one of the most badass, and her skins match that attitude. We love this Ash skin the most, which draws inspiration from Eastern-style armor, and has a stylish gold, black, and red color scheme. |
---|
Ballistic | Sleek & Suave (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Ballistic is a classy gentleman with a ton of great skins that match his character. Sadly, he has always been fairly underwhelming in-game, but we're focusing on skins not gameplay.
Sleek & Suave is a regal and impressive skin that is easily our favorite for Ballistic. Although a little snazzy with the gold touches, the skin has a regal, dignified quality that we love. |

Bangalore | Apex Commander (150 Heirloom Shards)
|
Bangalore is one of the most iconic characters in the entire game. And since she has been in the game so long, she has more skins than almost anyone else. There are dozens that could be your first choice for Bangalore, but we like her Mythic skin the most. This skin will cost Heirloom Shards, which are incredibly rare, but if you're a Bangalore main it's a no-brainer. |
---|
Bloodhound | Majestic Tracker (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Bloodhound is another Legend who has been in the game for a long time and has a ton of skins. There are loads of great options for new Bloodhound mains to pick from, but we love Majestic Tracker the most. This skin is actually a redesign and recolor of an earlier Battle Pass skin, and while that can be seen as 'lazy' from the devs, in this case it simply does look fantastic. |

Catalyst | Legacy of the Ancients (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Catalyst was immensely popular when she first released, especially when coupled with Seer, but then the meta shifted, and we have barely seen her since. Sadly, she also has very few great skins, which is probably hurting her pick rate even more. But of the few great skins she has, Legacy of the Ancients is our favorite.

Caustic | Furnace Fury (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Caustic has the hardest voice lines and some of the best skins in the entire game. His character and backstory provide clear design cues for the devs to work with, and that's why we see him featured in cosmetic events so frequently. Picking the best Caustic skin was therefore very difficult, but we think Furnace Fury is a great candidate. With his Bane-like mask and chain mail armor, this is one of the most intimidating skins in the entire game. |
---|
Conduit | Undying Optimism (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Conduit has been popular since she first came on to the scene, and has already received a number of solid skins, so picking the best wasn't easy. Undying Optimism is our favorite Conduit skin as the hands look great from a first-person perspective, and because we love the shiny black and red look.

Crypto | Roaring Guardian (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Crypto has always been a bit of an odd-ball. Even when he is technically very strong, a lot of players simply don't like his passive gameplay. Thankfully, Crypto has enjoyed some fantastic skins over the years. But it wasn't hard to pick our favorite; Roaring Guardian is incredible, with the ceremonial tiger head mask and matching jacket. |
---|
Fuse | Professor Fitzroy (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Fuse has remained both decently strong and quite popular since he was first added to the game. And because of this, the devs have been created a lot of cosmetics for Fuse over the years. There are some amazing Fuse skins to pick from, but Professor Fitzroy is the best. He just looks so damn sleek in a shirt and tie, and with a haircut to kill. |
---|
Gibraltar | Brudda Bear (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Gibraltar is an icon, one of the founding Legends who has been in the game since day one. And as you would therefore expect, he has more skins than almost anyone else, including a number of certified bangers. Most Christmas skins are fairly low-effort, often just simple blue and white outfits, but Brudda Bear is one of the very few that is worth the money. It suits Gibraltar so much, he's cuddly like a bear, and as merry as Santa Claus! |
---|
Horizon | Lethal Lass (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Once despised for simply being too strong for too long, Horizon is now in a much more balanced place. She isn't dominating the battlefield, but she's absolutely still a decent choice for anyone new to the game. But while Horizon might have been incredibly strong for a long time, she has surprisingly few great skins. Of all the Horizon skins, the recently released Lethal Lass is the cleanest. |
---|
Lifeline | Cruel Medicine (1800 Apex Coins)
|
Praise be to Lifeline, an iconic character who received one of the best reworks we've ever seen in Apex. She has been in the game since launch and as such she has dozens of skins, and a lot of them look fantastic. But this fairly recent skin, Cruel Medicine, is simply the best. She looks insanely cool with a robot body, and the black and bronze color scheme works perfectly with Lifeline. |
---|
Loba | Sharp Dressed (1800 Apex Coins)
|
When we're talking about the best-looking anything in Apex, Loba is obviously the first Legend that comes to mind. She's the embodiment of glamour, and she has a higher proportion of great skins than any other Legend. It was so hard to pick a favorite here, and Cherry Bomb deserves an honorable mention as a close second, but Sharp Dressed is our number one. The color scheme, the materials, the sword on the back, and the hands in first-person, it's all perfect. |
