Key Takeaways

  • Freecash pays the most, with the largest variety of offers that reward you for being consistent

  • KashKick is more geared towards Americans, making it more user-friendly

  • Toluna offers the most interesting surveys, avoiding personal life questions.

There are so many survey sites out there these days. Whether its to help companies with marketing research, or to help a company thrive with better products, there are some platforms that offer the best of all worlds. I have tested over 7 survey sites that have been deemed legit, and where I have personally cashed out money.

To avoid survey site scams, here are the best survey sites in the USA that are actually good and dont steal your time away.

Freecash

Freecash is the highest paying get-paid-to platform that offers over 16.318 available paid offers with hundreds of tasks paying more than the average survey site. They pay up to $15 an hour by completing surveys alone, while also providing product test and games to earn money up to $25 an hour.

Earn from taking surveys on freecash

You can easily spend an hour or so answering surveys on Freecash. Usually, its my favorite way to earn as a weekend side hustle when Im sitting on the couch watching tv or waiting for the laundry to finish. Freecash offers more than just task rewards as well, with daily bonuses and streak rewards given if you are consistent on their platform.

Here is how I got started on Freecash:

  1. 1 Registered a new account on Freecash and earned a bonus for signing up
  2. 2 Completed surveys and other tasks that seemed fun
  3. 3 Cashed out my earnings through Paypal, but I had over 21 methods to choose from.

They also have one of the best apps to earn extra money, that is super user friendly with an updated UI and gamified experience.

KashKick

KashKick is a popular reward platform offering multiple offers to complete surveys and answer questions.

Pros
Cons
Very US friendly with lots of cashout options
Tedious ID checks, can be invasive
Lots of surveys, quick cashouts
Survey slow down after a few months, giving less to offer

As an American, I really enjoyed using Kashkick as you have multiple cashout methods that are directly in USD There are many cashout options too that are more centered to American banks, making it easier to cashout.

I personally really enjoyed this survey site, however it does not pay as much as Freecash. Even though the UI is up to date and has a lot of great incentives, I found it hard to earn over $10 an hour on KashKick, Ive had a few friends who don't feel comfortable with how difficult the ID check is.

They ask for the last four of your social security, which I think is digging too deep into someones personal information. As Americans, we should have the right to keep our data private, especially when it comes to avoiding identity theft. This is why I prefer Freecash, to avoid invasive ID checks like this.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is one the most widely popular survey site that gives you multiple surveys to complete daily.

Pros
Cons
Smooth cashout, easy to transfer
Runs out of surveys fast
Earn up to $5 quickly within 30 minutes to an hour
Lots of surveys may not fit your demographics

Similar to Freecash, they have hundreds of surveys to choose from, however you may not qualify for them all. Swagbucks sends you surveys based on your previously successful surveys, to help better align surveys to your profile and allow you to earn more as time goes on.

I really like Swagbucks, you earn some legit cash and its easy to cashout. However I do wish they offered more available surveys. A majority of them do not fit my demographic, which can be sometimes frustrating when trying to earn money strictly from surveys.

I can maybe spend about 30 minutes to an hour on Swagbucks, however they do not have enough for me to keep earning for more time than that. The offers they do have are great, I just wish there was a bit more to offer here.

MyPoints

Similar to Swagbucks, MyPoints focuses heavily on surveys, and is owned by the same company.

Pros
Cons
Lots of surveys to choose from
Less rewards overall
A large variety of cashout options such as gift cards and cash.
Surveys are limited

On MyPoints, you can gain money rather quickly, and a lot of surveys available here may not be available to you on Swagbucks. So if you are struggling there, you can come to MyPoints and start earning a similar pay. Just keep in mind these platforms fuction very similar to each other, meaning you will eventually run out of surveys, with no way to know if you will receive more.

MyPoints is good for travel-related rewards, like getting money for free gas or earning towards a flight gift card. A majority of players sometimes state MyPoints is better than Swagbucks when it comes to surveys, while Swagbucks is better with games. However, if you want to avoid switching between so many survey sites, Freecash offers hundreds of surveys, and will offer you more based on your demographics (not less).

Mistplay

Mistplay is one of the largely trusted reward paltforms and survey sites in the USA, offering multiple surveys daily.

Pros
Cons
Highly favored in the US
UI is outdated, leaving it a bit boring
Lots of offer available
Since its outdated, its harder to navigate
multiple cashout options

Mistplay is rather popular here in the US, constantly competing with Swagbucks and Freecash for the top. The surveys in Mistplay are pretty solid, offering a few cents here and there. They are indeed legit and I have cashed out from there site plenty of times.

My only concern about Mistplay is the lack of UI friendliness. Unlike Freecash, its really boring to go for new incentives. In Freecash you have daily bonuses and incentives that pay you outside of the games or surveys, while with Mistplay you really just have what you earn through the games/surveys.

Overall, while Mistplay does offer a great amount of rewards, you may not want to use the platform every day. But they are very trusted, and I highly recommend using them as an extra platform to earn extra money as a survey website.

Toluna

Toluna is a legit survey site in the US that is free to sign up for, with lots of rewards aimed towards not just surveys but also games.

Pros
Cons
More surveys than other reward platforms
Sometimes there are UI bugs
Easy ID check procedure
Could run out of surveys quickly.

Toluna has a lot of informational surveys that have being actually very interesting to complete. Unlike the boring surveys that are always asking you the same questions, Toluna asks questions regarding things outside of just your personal life, but about things you may know about.

Toluna is very reliable, and I have really enjoyed the cash out system. The process is very fast and you don't struggle at all with ID checks.

You may run into issues with the website stating you have new surveys available, but there are none. Which is quite frustrating when you are looking forward to answering more surveys. They pay well however, and I found myself earning from $10 to $15 an hour from their survey platform.

Life Points

Life Points offers a variety of fun and interesting surveys on their site, while paying rather decently.

Pros
Cons
A larger variety of surveys
Since there are only surveys, you will run out of offers
Easy to navigate, less congestion from other incentives
Limited cashout options

I really liked Life Points. It is not as popular as Freecash or Mistplay, but they focus primarily on surveys instead of gaming or other rewarded offers. I just want to make money doing surveys, so Life Points was just one of those platforms I preferred since I didn't need to navigate around other offers.

The one thing you should know however is that the cash out can take a while to complete. It gets frustrating, so much that I am just hoping I wasn't scammed while waiting for the money to appear in my PayPal account. Oh, it also only has PayPal and gift cards as a withdraw option. So if you just want cash, maybe head over to Freecash instead.
